Not sure what to say?

Doc was so very special. So many memories I could share and one comes to mind. He was a fighter. Yes he was a boxer and very proud of it. But what I m referring to was his quest for life. Now that l m a snow bird getting on in life I often share an outing hunting with him on the tideflats of the Sound. He was very bent over and had to shuffle in his waders and he had his walking stick. His journey was his favorite old stump where he had many fond memories of his favorite harvest. With thick...

Older brother Roland was always looking after his three younger sisters while growing up. On the other hand he was such a big tease and one stop until he had us cry. That stopped as we got older but he was so good at telling tales he would lead you down the road I'm with his stories and have you believing something that was not true. He was so good at it and got such a kick out of it and he never lost it till the day he passed. He always had us laughing and such a joy to visit in his...

We are sad to hear of our neighbor Roland's passing. When we first moved in I met Dr H and we talked about his career as a dentist. Ron met him and they talked about fishing. He's a dentist, I said. No, he's a fisherman, he said. He is both we figured out and we agreed he was a sweet, kind man and a lovely neighbor.

Dr Hublou was a very special person, friend and Dentist. When we would run into him at the store, even when we were both in a hurry he would always take the time to stop and say hi and ask about our family. He was very selfless. Such a wonderful man. May he rest in peace. To the family you are in our thoughts and prayers.

The tears are flowing down my cheeks. What a very special tribute to a very special friend, patriot, husband, and father. Oh for a ride in Doc s boat on Cathlamath Columbia River. It was a very special day behind the little tackle shop when Doc and I met. The wagon wheels on front of our small ranch are a little tilted and flags over Everett and Puget Sound should be at half mask. Blessings to entire family.

Such a good and special guy in so many ways with whom I wish I'd spent more time. We grew up a few blocks apart on Grand Ave. and when he went away to college he sold me his little duck hunting boat so I could go back and forth to the Jetty. Last time I saw him was 10-12 yrs. ago when I took him and Gerry James to Eastern Washington bird hunting. GREAT GUY !! [his Dad was my notorious wood shop teacher at North Junior who once 'got me' with his famous paddle :-) ]

Dr Hublou was an amazing dentist and a wonderful person. He will be missed.

Dearest Uncle Roland, you meant so very much to all of your family members, including all your nieces and nephews. During my lifetime as your niece, I have so many memories that you are involved with! Especially on Lake Goodwin skiing with grandpa Hublou`s handmade skis and our wonderful Hublou reunions every year in August at Bowmans Bay in Anacortes. Thanks so much for consistantly being incredibly interested in all of our lives and always asking personal questions with keen interest and...
