I'm so sorry for your loss; my thoughts are with you all. I was extremely fortunate to share some experiences with him; he so enjoyed life and learning. He could not have been more proud of his family. He was formative in my career development; I will always be grateful for his encouragement, kindness and wisdom. I was a student of Professor Lowe at Santa Clara University graduating 1971. He was an inspiration for my continuing to study and a great help in forming my career later. After finishing my studies in Zurich, Switzerland, he gave me advice on continuing my work. I last spoke with him, when he was in Rome and a meeting there sadly could not be realized.
