It has been a while. I knew Ron as one of my dad´s friends. He always struck me as a very friendly, dare I say even a bit `goofy´ adult. In my long distant memories I associate, with him, a big smile.

I'm so sorry for your loss; my thoughts are with you all. I was extremely fortunate to share some experiences with him; he so enjoyed life and learning. He could not have been more proud of his family. He was formative in my career development; I will always be grateful for his encouragement, kindness and wisdom. Thinking of you and hoping good memories bring you comfort.

Ron hired me at Santa Clara and was an active supporter of my career at a time when there were only 3 women at SCU. He was a wonderful colleague. Eleanor Willemsen

I was a student of Professor Lowe at Santa Clara University graduating 1971. He was an inspiration for my continuing to study and a great help in forming my career later. After finishing my studies in Zurich, Switzerland, he gave me advice on continuing my work. I last spoke with him, when he was in Rome and a meeting there sadly could not be realized.
