Not sure what to say?

Its been a long time since i seen that smile. You were so polite and helpful to people. Your missed til this day, Rollie. Rest in Peace.

Pastor Mars married my husband and I nine years ago, he mentored me in my early adult years. I will never forget his kindness and words of wisdom. The one thing I will always remember him saying to me is "never loose faith" and always trust in God. I will miss my mentor, pastor, and father in Christ. My prayers and condolences to the Mars family.

Mr. Mars was a constant presence in my life growing up with his daughter as my best friend. His contagious laughter, strong bassful voice filled with love and care plus keeping me on my toes always made me feel a special part of the family. He was an amazing man and God has gained a precious gem as an angel. My condolences to all the family and praying God give you the strength during this time of grief.

I was a team mate of Roland on the football and basketball team at South Kingstown High. He brought a great dynamic to the Rebels for that wonderful run we had in the 1958 playoffs. Those days will never be forgotten. I am sure that Rev. Mars will be missed by all who crossed paths with him.

Roland delivered our mail in Kingston on Little Rest Rd. for many years. He was often the only customer at our sons lemonade stand and he often was thirsty a few quarters worth. He also built our beautiful family room that is still greatly lived in today. His warmth, smile, laugh, kindness, and positive attitude was a true influence on us all. Heaven is a better place and so where we all. Lovingly, Bill, Alinda, Craig, and Brian Nelson Kingston, Ri.

I remember the Rev. Mars as Rollie. He was a great basketball player at South Kingstown High School and a great all around guy. His classmates loved and respected him.

Shawmut Community Church of God has also lost their Pastor, Brother and Friend. A strong man led by his love of God and his willingness to share and to see others led by the spirit. Although we rejoice in his legacy we feel the lost of a family member. We send our heartfelt prayers to the family but know God has a blessed angel coming his way. RIP Pastor Mars Shawmut loves you and family.

So sorry for your loss. The Reverend Mars was a good man and family friend. He will be sadly missed. God bless.
