Although it's been all of fifty years since I last saw Roland, I still have clear memories of trips to Mckellar Lake & Sardis with him and his cousins, Ann & Larry. I can still hear him complaining about the "new" I-55 through Mississippi, and wondering why, if they were going to spend all that money, they couldn't level the hills. Of course, when you're trying to pull a ski boat with a Voldwagen Beetle, the hills do seem to be a mite bigger.
