Roland William Miller, June 7, 1935 to July 25, 2023
Carol Deer Miller and Roland William Miller, soulmates and spouses of 60 years, and beloved parents, grandparents, siblings, aunt and uncle, and friends to many, peacefully returned to their heavenly home surrounded by family, each after a sudden illness, following a life filled with adventure and love. Carol was 87 years old and Roland was 88 years old. They are survived by their daughter, Susan Schwager (Charles); their son, Steve Miller (Donna); their grandchildren, Sam and Haley Schwager and Erin and Molly Miller; Roland's brother, Allen Miller; as well as many nieces and nephews. The memorial service is to be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 11th of August, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, in Houston, where the Rev. Katie Montgomery Mears of St. Luke's Methodist Church is to officiate. Immediately following, all are cordially invited to greet the family and share remembrances of Carol and Roland during a reception.
