Roland was a great man, super hard worker, amazing Dad. Bless him in Heaven, and strength to the Simmons family in this trying time. We lost Phil Sr. 7 years ago, and, trust me on this, your cool Dad will ALWAYS be alive in your head and in your heart. ( I talk to my Pop all the time). Love and Peace, Phil Pockoski and Family

Nancy, Mary Lou and family, I'm remembering Roland's Saint Bernard puppies in your front yard...who grew and grew. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to all of you.

i am so saddened. Roland took me away from Shakeys and showed me a career path in Nursing facilities. It was my life until I retired three years ago. I will always be grateful to him. My best to Dean, who was a good friend. Much love to you all! Alan

I'm so very sorry to read this, but happy that Doc lived to 90! Most of my memories are of working with him at good old Shakey's, and one summer at Avon Convalescent Home. What a wonderful man. Even though I haven't seen him in probably 30 years, I think of those days often and with great fondness, mostly because I worked with such wonderful people, especially Doc. To the entire Simmons family, and especially Dean and Jennifer, my sincerest condolences and love. I will miss Doc.

I am sorry to hear of Roland's passing. My thoughts and sympathies go out to your entire family. I have so many great memories of the times I spent with the family since I first went to work at the Avon Convalescent home over 50 years ago. May you all find comfort in each other at this difficult time.
