Rolf O. Johnsen

I will never forget the time at Grandma Mankey's 90th birthday party sitting across from Uncle Rolf. I was probably 8 at the time. Not only did he entertain me but he let me have the soda that no one else would! I know that he wasn't a blood relative but I always considered him to be my Uncle Rolf. I was always so excited to spend Christmas Eve at his house. He treated our family just like royality (so it felt). Sherry and Jill my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Jill and Sherry,
Words cannot express how sad I was to hear of uncle Rolf's passing. I have so many fond memories of both him and your Mom. The world will simply not be the same without him. I can't tell you how many times I have thought of him over the years. I am so glad that Melinda and I came to have lunch with all of you in West Seattle last year. I met Rolf when I started work at Modern Supply Co. in 1979 where he was the Sales Manager, He quickly became the Benchmark by which I measured all other men! He was always the constant gentleman! In September, 1978 my four partners and I got to know Rolf when we acquired Modern Supply from Rolf and his partner Bill Dunlap. It was a real pleasure working with Rolf as he was a man of integrity, who was well respected by all of the people in Modern Supply, by his customers, and his suppliers. Rolf has stayed happily in my thoughts since I worked for him at Modern Supply. Even after all these years, he remained the best sales manager I have had. Please remember him with happiness.
