Rolf H. Swensen

I just read of Rolf´s death in the Queens College Retiree Faculty Newsletter. Let me add my own respects for Rolf. He was a friendly and kind and interesting conversationalist. Whenever I visited the library, I made sure to look for Rolf because I knew I would be in for a pleasant chat. He always brought a smile to my face because he was a genuinely caring man. Thanks, Rolf, for the memories. RIP.

We were all so very sorry to hear of Rolf's passing. We saw him almost daily at the Darien YMCA. He was always so friendly and greeted us with a smile. May he rest peacefully, The Darien YMCA Crew

RIP, Dr. Rolf Swensen! I miss our pool days, when you would regale me with stories about your winter adventures working for the local government in Anchorage, Alaska, your commute from Queens College to the exurbs in Connecticut, and nature watching from your back porch until sunset. Despite your accomplishments, you were unassuming-a gentleman and a scholar.

Dear Rolf´s Family and Friends, Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of this amazing individual. It is indeed sad to read about one so accomplished in life to pass away too soon. May Rolf rest in eternal peace for a life well lived. Sincerely,
