"Uncle" Rolfe was not a relative, but a wonderful family friend to my grandparents, Bob and Evelyn Wild. My favorite memory of Uncle Rolfe was his telling me and my brothers the story of the little train that could. I can still hear him saying "I think I can, I think I can...". I think I used to ask him to tell me that story everytime I saw him, even up to my early teens. He will be missed, but always loved.

So sorry to hear about your Dad's passing, Jean. Elaine Speich called me with the information. I finally read it in the paper and assume that you provided the info for it because "funny grandpa" sounds like something you would say. It surely sounds as if he was a delightful person and one who provided his grandkids with wonderful memories. I'm sorry we can't express our condolences in person but we are out of town tonite. We pray that the next few days go easily for you and your family....

Rolfe was my grandfather's brother and I hadn't seen Uncle Rolfe in several years. Rolfe and Harriet had been up to ride the train where I work and that was sometime ago. The last week of April I had received a letter and postcards from him. I didn't have a chance to write back to tell him I got them,as I left for vacation the week I got them and returned yesterday.(tuesday) I would like to attend the burial with my Aunt Kate Zaia. If I can't go do to work, I want you to know I am thinking of...
