My heart goes out to Penny and family. Dr. Johnson was a man of vision and compassion. It was shown in his work, the Joint Center, CDH and with NEOS in Florence. He was a great person to work with and my mentor. He will be sadly missed.

Singing, lauhging, and praying side-by-side with Rollin provided me with an endless amount of joy. His time, talent, and infectious enthusiasm are all qualities that made being a member of St. John's Episcopal Church a special and unique experience. I feel honored to have sung with him in the choir for the past 18 years or so. It will be a long time before anybody will successfully fill Rollin's shoes in the greater Northampton community. If you are 12 years old with a badly broken leg, Doc Johnson was the one to see. Our daughter Kate was treated with the greatest of consideration and kindliness, with explanations 'in her language' as to how the injury would be 'fixed'. We are grateful that he was there, as there were many doctors in the world at that time who would only relate to parents. Kate was comforted by his honest and reassuring manner.
