Roma D.  Nations Perry, 81, of Rockwall, TX passed away with family members by her side at her home on Friday, March 17, 2017.

Roma was born on August 3, 1935 in the community of Wisdom Temple, in Van Zandt County, Texas to Jerald Houston Nations and Reta Bell Carter Nations. She moved with her family to Dallas in 1951 where she lived till she married Rupert “Bob” C. Perry in 1955.

Roma was a devout Christian throughout her life and attended the Rockwall Free Methodist Church. Roma worked for the Ben Spurgin Insurance Agency in Dallas, TX. for 35 plus faithful years as an insurance underwriter. She loved her family and wanted nothing more than for everyone to be happy and healthy.

Roma is survived by her son, Randy C. Perry and (ex-spouse) Laurie Wigley and their son Andrew R. C. Perry and Samuel (Sam) Wigley of Rockwall TX. and Rowlett TX., daughter Rebecca G. (Perry) Sturles and (spouse) Raymond A. Sturles of Fort Worth and Jefferson, TX., and their children Mason and wife Meagan Sturles of Fate TX., Anthony Sturles of Gladewater TX., Raina Sturles of Chatfield TX., Loyd Sturles of Fort Worth, TX., and daughter Rhonda L. Perry-Garrison and (ex-spouse) V. Wayne Garrison of Rockwall TX., and Oklahoma City OK. and their daughters  Meagan Garrison of Oklahoma City, OK, Melody Garrison of Oklahoma City, OK and Jessica Garrison of Oklahoma City, OK; five great-grandchildren Jeremy Sturles, Raley Sturles, Abigail Garrison, Tylus Murry and Isabella Ging.
Her brother and his wife Ralph Lamar and Rose Nations of Bowie, TX., Her sister and husband, Karen Kay and JB Pitts of Anna, TX.  Cal and Millie Perry of Grand Prairie, TX, Ron and Donna Perry of Temple, TX, Dee and James Lindsey of Temple, TX. as well as a numerous of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Roma is preceded in death by her husband Rupert C. Perry, her parents J.H. and Reta Nations, her brother and his wife Zoel Lee and Olene Nations, sister Norma G. (Nations) White, Russell C. and Mabel Perry, Jewell and James Putnam and Wiley Ray Perry.

Service will be performed by, nephew, Minister Jerry G. Putnam.

Pallbearers: Christopher Rose, Shelly Reynolds, & Robert (Bob) Spurgin.

Not sure what to say?

Thinking about Roma today, so grateful we had the blessing of knowing Roma and having her as part of our lives and as part of the Rockwall Free Methodist Church, She was an inspiration to us,. Want you her family to know she is so missed.

Just this week, I have been thinking about Roma, we at Rockwall Free Methodist Church, surely miss seeing Roma enter our church doors, her sweet quite spirit was so pleasant and appreciated. Her presence in our Sunday School Class is so missed as well as in our worship service.

So sorry we were not able to attend your mom's services. We were with you in spirit. Chad, Kim and their three kids were here from Denver and left Wednesday afternoon. We are so sorry for your loss and hope you find comfort and peace in the days ahead.

I want Roma's family to know we loved Roma and appreciated her presence in our Sunday School Class and Worship Services at the Rockwall Free Methodist Church. She had a beautiful quite sweet spirit. We always looked forward to her coming. We were blessed to have known her. Sorry, I can't attend the service today. A Friend, Claudine Greenawalt

We shared so much when we moved to Dallas and you & Bob helped us get settled in Arlington.
