Roman "Bud" Wehrle

Roman “Bud” Wehrle, 87, a lifelong resident of Madison, Wisconsin, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, who was enshrined as a member of the Madison Sports Hall of Fame in June of 1978, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 19, 2000. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 23, 2000, noon until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m., at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 South Owen Drive, Madison. Services will be officiated by Monsignor Kenneth Fiedler. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace School Endowment Fund, 418 Holly Avenue, Madison, WI 53711. Arrangements entrusted to Cress Funeral Service, Madison.
