SAVOIE, Romie H. - Of Flint, age 80, died Monday, November 7, 2005 at Brian's House of Davison. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM Friday, November 11, 2005 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 3641 Wyoming in Flint, Father James Bettendorf officiating. Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Leo Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society. Visitation 5-8PM Wednesday, 11-2 and 5-8PM Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7PM Thursday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Savoie will be at the church from 10:30AM Friday until the time of the Mass. He was born in Fiber, Michigan on July 20, 1925. He married Reva Logsdon on June 13, 1953 in Flint. Mr. Savoie served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. Mr. Savoie owned and operated Romie's Mod Shop for 27 years. Surviving are wife, Reva; children, Gary Savoie of Flint, Timothy and wife Lenore of Naperville, Illinois, Karen and husband Robert Maniez of Fenton, Sharon and husband Andrew Hill of Grand Blanc; 9 grandchildren; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers.

Fond memories of him as an apprentice under my father, Paul Wells during his first years as a barber! Also, much to my delight, gave me a Princeton Haircut although my father wasn't too pleased with my teenage whim.............
