Phillip L. Hyndman

PHILLIP L. HYNDMAN, 77, died Monday, April 23, 2007, at Tipewell Hospice in Bradenton, Fla. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a maintenance supervisor with Melvin-Simon & Associate for 10 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and Amateur Ham Radio Operator for 40 years. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Yvonne Hyndman of Fort Wayne; sons, Steven (Kathy) Hyndman, and Kenneth (Julie) Hyndman both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Carol (Richard) Barsky of Jacksonville, Fla. and Laura (Steve) Stemen of Columbia City; brother, Lynn (Darlene) Hyndman of Fort Wayne; sisters, Dawn (Louis) Miller of Garrett and Louise (John) Bobay of Churubusco; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road with calling one hour prior. Fr. John M. Kuzmich officiating. Calling is also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Friday. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials to St. Mary's Soup Kitchen or St. Vincent's for Masses.
