Not sure what to say?

Sorry to hear he had passed. We were looking for him to let him know his cousin Vickey Jean, Dora´s oldest has just passed. May they both rest in peace and add to the beauty of heaven with their talents.

Ron and I were friends in junior high. We both had Cushman motor scooters and I have many enjoyable memories of the painting trips to the Colorado National Monument, camping trips and all the fun we had. I am very sorry to learn of his passing.

I met Chapel when he came into eat at JJ McCabes´s in downtown Boulder, CO. I waited on him and he came in often. We would get to talking about sculpture and he invited me to his studio near Nederland, CO. I was so amazed by his incredible talent. I brought a sculpture I did in clay of a chuckwalla lizard and to my surprise he thought it great! So glad that some of his works are on display as public works for all to see. RIP Chapel...

I just Googled him because his name makes me happy! I came across him in an old art book and thought I would reach out. My dad and he showed together in the 70' & 80's. I believe he's the first person to take me skiing when I was 5 years old. So sorry to miss connecting with him. I live with my family in Bailey, Colorado, on the plot next to where he had an acre of land, years ago. He will be remembered always!

Ron and I were close friends throughout elementary school and Mesa College. We camped together many, many times riding his Cushman Scooter to campsites. We started a garage band together and went off to CSU together. “Ronson” as he liked to be called when we were kids was a great guy and a great artist. He told me once he hoped he would die quickly after a long, full life. Seems like he did so. Rest well my friend.

As a friend for over 50 years, Ron will be greatly missed. His art was spectacular and he was always himself. My condolences to his family, this was a massive shock. Thank you for the great obituary, you covered the most important aspects of his life.
