Not sure what to say?

You inspired a generation of athletes, Ron Clarke, running your heart out until it could beat no more. A man of moral and physical courage. A proud and courageous Australian. Your tenacity and sportsmanship will long be remembered around the world. - Michael Brudenell and late brother Paul.

A wonderful person. I enjoyed many encounters on the running track and shared classes at night school where we studied accountancy. A fantastic achiever who worked so hard to achieve his goals. He has left his mark on this planet during his lifetime and will be remembered as one of our great Australians.

A heroic, courageous, and noble athletic legend. An oustanding and exceptional citizen, man, and role model. A true and most worthy icon.

Ferny Creek on Sunday mornings, Caulfield Racecourse during the week, and inter club athletics on Saturdays - how privileged we were to run with you. Love to Helen & Family

Ron: not only a great sportspeson but a warm, generous, supportive and inspiring friend.
Our thoughts are with Helen and family.
Neil and Helen Gray

Sadly missed. A wonderful man and an inspiration to a generation of long distance runners in the 1960's. For me, Australia's greatest athlete, so long Ron

My deepest sympathy to the Clarke Family may you draw comfort from God's Love to give you strength and peace during your time of sorrow. (1 John 4:8)

May Psalms 46:1 prove to be a source of encouragement to you during this time of sadness. In that verse, God promises to be a refuge and strength to you during times of distress. Draw close to Him for comfort and support. I am sorry for your loss.
