Athletic Director Sam Fillipo gave me a chance to broadcast Caldwell high school football as a PA announcer , and stuck by me through some tough times . A fantastic guy and a legend for Caldwell sports .

Coach San Fillipo was my college coach and a great man. I was a very forgettable college football player, but he never forgot me and always treated me like an All American. I was fortunate that I had the opportunity to see him from time to time through my involvement in high school sports. He positively impacted the lives of countless young people. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.

My deepest condolences to the Sanfillipo family. I am the state assignor for New Jersey wrestling and always admired Ron in the way, he would handle athletes and coaches. He will be deeply missed Vinnie Russo.

How fortunate I am to have known Ron for most of my life. I was little Weeks in # 5. High school class of '63. Watched him play football. Lucky to marry Mike Bilza. I felt like an honorary classmate when we attended most of the reunions. Many memories. He worked so hard holding his class together. Sorry for your loss Nancy and the rest of the family and his many friends. May the memories bring more smiles than tears. Sadly, Karen Weeks Bilza

San Fillipo Family, As a sports writer and friend of Rich San Fillipo, I got to know Ron over the years. He was a greatly respected athletic director at Caldwell High. He also was a greatly respected resident of Cedar Grove. I was saddened to read his obituary today. Ron San Fillipo -- may he rest in peace. Bill Kennedy Otisfield, ME
