Ron "Patch" Hamilton

Although we purchased many of the early CDs for our 9 children, met him many years ago in Tampa in early 1980s. My love and appreciation for him has grown and intensified since reading the books Shelly has written about him. I read them aloud to my wife and try singing all the songs I recognize in the books to her. I cry, laugh, and praise God for the faithfulness and testimony of this gift of a man.

I just learned of Ron's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I want to take this time to Praise the Lord for the testimony of Ron Hamilton. He has been a blessing to my family and still is. My 5 year old grandson's current favorite song is "Better Be Ready". My Husband and I got saved in 1980, our children grew up on Patch the Pirate and now my grandchildren. I Praise my Lord and Saviour for Ron's testimony to family, praise to God in song and desire to reach children. See you in glory my brother. Amen

Last week, I dropped off my grandson Nicholas at the Wilds for a week of camp. Having been a counselor in the summer of 1976, I remember well what a blessing we had having Ron Hamilton lead our camp services.
Such a gifted man! Also, on Saturdays of that summer, I used to jog on the mountain trails to the waterfalls. Every Saturday morning, I also saw Ron on the same trail ! Not only was he gifted with music,
he was such a great guy! Such an example of being a godly...

I grew up on Patch the Pirate! My parents came from Bob Jones University. We grew up, listening to patch the pirate. Mr. Ron Hamilton has been such an encouragement to me throughout the years!! Now that he is home in heaven, I can only imagine how beautiful his songs are that he is creating for Jesus Christ, our Lord!! Thank you Mrs. Hamilton for everything that you did to assist in patch the pirate!! my prayers are with you and your family!

My condolences to the family. I met Ron in a hardware store 45 years ago. I love his music.
