Not sure what to say?

My name is JD Bowman. My ham radio call is KZ9A. I enjoyed very much talking to Ron on ham radio. He had invited me to visit which I did along with Frank Sanders this past September. Ron gave me a grand tour of his ham radio 'shack' in the garage showing me all his equipment along with his gun collection. This was a very enjoyable visit. His loss is great to us in amateur radio. I considered Ron as a very good friend. May God bless and comfort you and the rest of Ron's family during this time...

I met Ron in 1976 on Madison GC, Peoria, in a Cat Track-Type Tractor Golf League. We continued to be teammates and friends long after that first meeting. He was always positive, cheerful, and knowledgeable about the game of golf and many subjects. I must say that my recent visits to his garage astounded me with the care he took with his pet hobbies and collection of material! It was there that I began to understand his love of his country and the protection of the rights of her citizens....

I am Frank Sanders(wb9ucv)amatuer radio and consider myself a good friend of Ron.
I visted Ron many times and knew him about 12 years beginning when I moved out to Glasford. We spent time at the Peoria hamfest where he got to meet the 3.943 mhz radio group that he spent most of his time talking to while on the radio. He will be missed very much as will his library of information for the 3.943 group.
