Ron Murray, age 74, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017. He was born July 22, 1942 in Spur, Texas, a son of Floyd Wayland Murray and Dixie Roberts Pullen. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Springdale. Ron preached in Saratoga, Arkansas, Rabbit Ridge, Arkansas, Borger, Texas, and Morrilton, Arkansas. He also worked for Borden Milk Company for 28 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Walker Murray; daughters, Rhonda (Deeg) Becker of Midland, Texas and Tammy (Tim) Norman of Springdale; son, Clint (Leanne) Murray of Morrilton; sister, Betty Pickens of O'Donnell, Texas; brothers, Tommy Murray and Jerry Pullen, both of Midland, Texas; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his great grandson, Keller Bartlett and brother, James Murray. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 15, at Elmwood Cemetery with Minister Tim Norman officiating. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Life in Springdale or Alzheimer Foundation in Springdale.
