Not sure what to say?

I have tried over and over to start writing this but find myself still in shock sharing the loss of a very good friend. He was very special and will not be forgotten.
Knowing Ron Simpkins was a great pleasure and it saddens me to think he has passed on.
I spent many hours with him over many years discussing life, pleasures, his art and even things that were not so pleasurable.
We drank together in celebration of life and what it had brought him.
I was saddened to find out that...

Ron and Anne-Marie 1999

Dear Anne-Marie, Vanessa and Christina:
It was with great distress that we learned of Ron's passing in June. He was a kind and gentle person who always had an uplifting phrase or story to tell, no matter what was happening at the moment. We have spent many happy hours together with Ron and always left feeling good about ourselves, about him and about the world in general. He was that kind of person. Once in a while someone comes along who naturally makes everyone feel a little happier...

I knew Ron as a kind, sensitive human, able to capture the rare essence of life through his art. The first thing that you may have noticed about him if you had the opportunity of sharing thoughts, was his infinite capacity to listen, he always made you feel important and never judged or imposed his thoughts or ideas over yours. Ron Simpkins was an example through his kindness for others and his love of nature. The world has lost a beautiful soul.

Ron,
Saddened by your sudden departure,
you left us with fond memories of good times together and most of all you shared your vision of a world which will forever live on in your art.

You loved the vibrant colours in nature, no one painted blue waters like you. Now, the sky is your realm and may you find eternal peace in the blue.

To dear Anne Marie, Vanessa and Christina, our sincerest sympathies and may the beauty of Ron's paintings sweep away the sadness, with love...

Mike and I are very sad to not have seen Uncle Ron and in my case to not even have met him. Please accept our heartfelt condolences from the two of us in Vancouver.

Ron, Thanks for the joy we get every time we look at your beautiful paintings. They enrich our house and our lives, as they have for over 20 years. You left too soon. To Anne Marie and the girls our condolences and a BIG hug. Peter & Lalescka Schreier
