Not sure what to say?

I think of Ron, Paul and their parents often. As a young girl, I had the privilege of being around Ron and Paul a lot as we kept our horses at the same boarding facility in Edwardsville, KS. Ron always had a big smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. He had a beautiful husky who's name was Kobuck that went everywhere with him. He was always very kind to me and my family. He was very patient with his horse and always willing to give advice. His kindness and gentle nature will always...

Shirley, I pause today to remember your son who was a true hero, serving his country until that awful day his life was taken from us. I pray today for all of Ronald's friends and family and ask God to give them a comfort and peace. With much love from Texas.

Thank everyone who visited this page. Some have asked me to email them, but no contact information.

Shirley Hemenway, proud mother of ET1 Ronald J. Hemenway

Ronald is from close to my home town of Kansas City, Kansas. I am so sorry to his family and my prayers continue to be with all who lost loved ones. Know that we care Hemenway family.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hemenway, On the anniversary of the terrible attack on our country, may God give you His peace and comfort knowing that He too gave up His Son that we might be free from the penalty of sin and death. May the hope of eternal life help you know that you will see your son again. I think that we met in Topeka when President Bush came to speak on behalf of Rep Jim Ryun. May you know that people have not forgotten you or your son and his sacrifice 8 years ago.

I worked with Ron for many years prior to his joining the Navy. He had a good heart and liked to laugh. May God bless his family particularly his children. All of you have been and will remain in my prayers.

To the family of Ronald John Hemenway:
Ronald gave the ultimate sacrifice and will be held in the hearts of Americans forever. My deepest sympathy to you. We must never forget!
