RONALD BENSON Obituary

Benson, Ronald DeWayne
64, of San Tan Valley, AZ, passed away March 24, 2013. Born in Minot, ND to Elmer and Lois Benson. Ronald was a Sergeant in the US Army serving 6 years and 20 years as a reservist, serving in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart & Bronze Star along with 16 other medals and ribbons. Ronald was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chandler, AZ; He loved to travel, watch Channel 10 news and Fox 10 sports. Ronald is survived by his wife Rose Ortiz Benson, children Shawn Benson, Anita Flores, Tony, Michael, Danny & Cecelia Granillo. Grandchildren Marissa & Carlee Benson, Mariyah & Anthany Granillo, Hector Jr., Jonathan, Jasmyn & Ashley Gomez. Siblings Lydia, Heidi, Dave & Craig Benson. A visitation will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary in Chandler, Monday, April 8th from 6 to 8pm. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 9th at 10am, St Mary's Church in Chandler. www.valleyofthesunfuneralhome.com
