My husband and I met Ron on a weekend trip to Boston. We lived in Memphis at the time and Ron was wearing on Ole Miss jacket so my husband started up a conversation with him. We stayed in touch with Ron and attended several Ole Miss football games as his guest. He invited us to The Grove to tailgate with his friends and family. Such a wonderful professor! He left an everlasting mark on this world through the pharmacy students he influenced. I often tell the story of my Medicinal Chem 301 struggle until Dr. Borne loaned me a book on acid base balance. It turned on the light for me and the next quiz was a breeze! He sent an office assistant to find me and finally ran me down in the library later that week. I have to admit, I was a bit afraid he was trying to take back that A I had made, but he told me that a teacher...
