Ronald Frank Breault passed away peacefully at his home, in Albany, Calif., on the morning of Sunday, February 25, 2024, at the age of 91. Ron was born October 31, 1932, in San Francisco, the son of Elmer and Gertrude Richardson Breault. He was a brother to Elmer "Jack", Gloria, Richard, and Sharon. He attended Albany High School, playing center position on the basketball team, graduating in 1951. Ron served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He married Lois Mae Brelsford in 1959, moving to Albany in 1965. He was employed with the Berkeley Daily Gazette newspaper as a circulation manager, where he later handicapped horse racing at Golden Gate Fields for them. Ron enjoyed reading, art, and antique collecting, working on his sports cars, sailing, hiking, and traveling with the family on many happy vacations. Retiring from the Alameda County Registrar of Voters in 1988, Ron enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored. He joins his wife of 46 years, Lois, who predeceased him in 2005. He is survived by his three children, Adrienne, Ronald, and Matthew; and his five grandchildren, Julia, Stephanie, Ryan, Christopher, and Connor. Services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., at Coalinga Huron Cemetery in Coalinga, Calif.
