Ronald L. Burch, 65, of Carmichaels, Pa., died unexpectedly at 2:14 A. M. on Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at the Emergency Room at Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born March 31, 1938 in Brownsville, Pa., a son of Loretta C. McGinty Burch of Carmichaels and the late Loman Russell Burch. Mr. Burch was a 1956 graduate of Cumberland Township High School and resided in Carmichaels most of his life. He retired as Administrative Assistant at Community Bank at Carmichaels and served as a Deacon and, at the time of his death, as an Elder at the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, Carmichaels. Mr. Burch served as Master of Valley Lodge No. 459 F. & A. M. of Masontown, Pa. in 1975, was a member of the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Pittsburgh and Syria Temple A. A. O. N. M. S., Pittsburgh. He also served the offices of president, secretary and treasurer of the Carmichaels Lions Club.

On March 30, 1974, he married Catherine L. Brashear, who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are a brother, Kenneth P. Burch of Catonsville, Md. and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P. M. on Friday and 7 to 9 P. M. on Saturday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Sunday, August 24, 2003 with the Rev. Harold O. Kelley officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels. Carmichaels Lions Club will conduct a memorial service at 7:00 P. M. on Friday in the funeral home followed by Masonic services at 7:30 P. M. by Valley Lodge No. 459, F. & A. M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, Carmichaels Lions Club or Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
