Ronald BUSH Obituary
Ronald Roscoe Bush, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2016 in Austin, Texas. Ron was born in Washington, D.C. on October 6, 1940 to Roland Wendall Bush and Era Walker Bush.
His early years were shaped by the well-rounded education he received at Allen Academy, which instilled in him a desire to serve his country. After his graduation, Ron enlisted in the Navy. While in the Navy, he worked hard and obtained a prestigious appointment as an enlisted man to the United States Naval Academy. Unfortunately, a medical injury suffered during Ron's training at the academy resulted in him returning to Texas to complete his education at The University of Texas at Austin. Although this was disappointing to Ron, while back in Texas, he met the love of his life and the mother of his children, Frances McCullough Bush. At UT, he studied engineering, business, and computer information systems and obtained a bachelors, masters, and doctorate degree.
Ron demonstrated early in his career he had other unique characteristics motivating him. In addition to his integrity, discipline, passion, and strong work ethic; Ron embodied an entrepreneurial and innovator's spirit. Some of the business ventures Ron started included Bush Engineering, ASTRA Engineering, The Software Place, and Scientific Prediction, Inc. During the intervening years, Ron worked for MRI, Intel, Texas MHMR, IBM, and as a professor.
Ron had many career accomplishments and inventions, but he considered his family his best creation. Ron is survived by Bradley Barrett Bush, his son, Tracy Leigh Bush, his daughter, and two grandchildren, Austin and Carson.
To his children, Ron was much more than a father; he was a friend, role model, and inspiration. We love you dearly Dad and will always miss you! While we are saddened that you have moved on, we are appreciative of the path that you helped pave for us and will attempt to follow in your footsteps.
Visitation Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish at 3125 N. Lamar Blvd. Graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Drive.

Dear Frances, Brad, Tracey, and Family,
I was saddened to hear of your dad's passing. I had heard over the years from Brad that he had been in ill health but as always, the end is never expected or wanted. Ronnie was always like a super big brother full of mystery and charm. I know you will miss him. Remember only the best times.
