Not sure what to say?

Dear Melanie, Mary Lou, and the rest of the Holliday and Carver families,

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Although I did not have the privilege of meeting Dr. Carver directly (for he sounds as though he was a truly great man), I have the honor of knowing his daughter Melanie, in whom lives his tremendous legacy. My deepest condolences to you.

In sincere sympathy,
Carey Pawlowski

My dearest Mary Lou,
I was in shock at the news of Ron's passing. Even though I had limited encounters with him I felt I knew him through you. The two of you were a pillar of strength. Both of you touched so many lives, especially children. The love you shared will remain with you forever. Find peace in knowing that he did not suffer and one day, I believe you were be together again. Your family, especially those darling grandchildren will give you the strength to continue on and to...

Along with you, I grieve the loss of your dear Ron: husband, father, grandfather, son, father-in-law, brother-in-law and a giver of his caring expertise in our local and world wide communities.

My prayer is that you will eventually experience peace.

Grant me this oh, God, I pray
Faith to trust in you today!

With caring love,

Mary Lou and family,
Words cannot express the shock and heartbreak when I heard the news.
It was an honor to know Ron, and the community was proud to have such a celebrity so caring.
January 24, 2004 I will be at the Washington National Cathedral and stand proud that I had a special friend so caring, Ronald Paul Carver.

May the love of family and friends bring you comfort, and may time bring you solace.
With Deepest Sympathy

I met Ron at tournaments of the Kansas Public Links Seniors where we were part of the 10% or so that walked the course. He was a fine golfer and a perfect gentleman on the course. I did not know that we shared a background in civil engineering and, of course, he never talked about all of his accomplishments in education, etc. I had coronary by-pass surgery in June of 2003 and missed the last four months of the golf season. His passing will be a big loss, not only to his family, but to all who...

Dear Mary Lou, I was very sorry to read about Dr. Carver's death. The two of you have been so active in the field of reading for many years and I know that he will be missed very much.

Your in my thoughts and prayers.
