Dahman, Ronald M., fell asleep in Jesus on November 10, 2021 at the age of 84.
He was born on August 15, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Melvin and Kathryn Dahman. Ron graduated from University City High School and Washington University in St. Louis with degrees in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management. He served his country proudly in the Missouri Air National Guard, 131st Tactical Fighter Wing. His unit was activated by President John F. Kennedy during the Berlin Crisis of 1961 and deployed in France. Ron later met Elaine Stenzel while both worked at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis. They married on September 24, 1966. He continued to serve his country in the Air Force Reserves until his honorable discharge in 1973, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant. While he and Elaine were unable to conceive children, Ron wholly embraced the opportunity to adopt and the couple were soon blessed with two children. The family were longtime members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Des Peres, where Ron served in various lay leadership capacities. He spent the majority of his professional career at Zurheide-Herrmann Consulting Engineers in St. Louis, eventually becoming its President. In retirement, he found fulfillment as a sales associate at The Home Depot. Ron is survived by Elaine, his beloved wife of 55 years, son Scott (Jennifer) of St. Joseph, Illinois, daughter Anne (Kevin) Witt of Austin, Texas, grandchildren Faith and Zachary Dahman of St. Joseph and Harrison, Alex, and Ian Witt of Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Kenneth Dahman. He was a beloved uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and dear friend to many.
