Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary - Rowland Heights Obituary

Ronald D. Damasco, 73, of Rowland Heights, CA, passed away peacefully in his home December 6, 2025.

Ron was born November 16, 1952 in Salinas, CA. He was the second eldest of nine children born to Maximo & Pacita Damasco. Both of his parents were from the Philippines.

Ron attended elementary and middle school in Salinas. He graduated from Alisal High School in Salinas, CA.

Ron earned his high school Varsity letter “A” for his commitment and contribution to the team’s success as a “lightweight manager”. During his high school years Ron wanted to be the first male cheerleader, however, that position was already taken.

Ron continued his education at Hartnell Community College in Salinas. After Hartnell, Ron worked as a Data Processor for the Social Security Administration Office in Salinas, CA.

In November of 1978, Ron met the love of his life, Joseph. Shortly after, they moved to Southern California where they lived and cherished forty-six years creating memories to last a lifetime.

Ron loved gardening, cooking, shopping, all sports and of course… beauty pageants!

Ron also loved nature and taking short walks up and down Colima Road.

Ron was baptized October 5, 1980 at Madonna Del Sasso Catholic Church in Salinas, CA.

Ron was a devoted convert into the church. He became an active/auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. On August 17, 1996 Ron renewed his Consecration to our Lord, Jesus Christ through Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Ron was also an active member in several parish ministries at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Rowland Heights i.e. bible study, lector and parish activities.

Ron is survived by his lifelong partner Joseph. Brothers: Clarence, Fidel (Zoy) and Reuben (Tina). Sisters: Leila (Tom), Melanie and Nora (Chuck). Deceased brother and sister: Maximo Jr. and Olivia. Ron is survived by nieces and nephews.
