Not sure what to say?

In the 1980’s I was a buck sergeant parachute rigger stationed in Kaiserslautern West Germany. Luckily I drew Bad Tolz for my PLDC.
And it was there I had the honor of being a student of this great man.
A soldier’s soldier.
Our class was a mix of SF guys, a Ranger who was a dear friend and some really fascinating Intel folks one of whom was a wonderful lady who would act a a referee when we boys would start ripping each other apart over who was the baddest of the bunch.

This man was one of the greatest inspirations of my life and Army career. I served with him in Hq Platoon C Co 4th Bn 6th Inf at Ft Polk La. We respectfully referred to him as " bhagwan Rainville" his style of leadership was the guide for me throughout my entire 30 year career. I have many fond memories and have spoken of him many times as an example of how to be a great leader. Many times I have wondered about Ron and what he would say if he with us in Iraq and Afganistan and guide us. I...

I served with Ron at the 7th Army NCO Academy Bad Toelz, Germany. He was a man of great conviction, loved his country and the military. Sorry to hear he has passed. My condolences to his family.

SFC John Rhodenizer, RET.

I served with Ron at the 7th Army NCO Academy in Bad Tolz Germany 1987-1990. I remember Ron as a true professional, a strict, but fair Cadre who placed his duty first. As a young Staff Sergeant I learned so much just from observing him. Having just learned of his passing I wish to send my heartfelt condolences to Ron's family, and friends.

Always remember that there are other worlds to sing in. Always in my Prayer! RIP Ronnie from John & Stephanie xoxo

Love to all of my San Antonio family May you rest in peace, Uncle Ron. Until we meet again. Love, Mindy

ron, you and I became friends in O.C.S. at ft benning. you also took over my company in Cambodia(d co.2/12). take care, my friend.

Rest in Peace my friend.

Ron was a true soldier. He fought long and hard. I will miss my dear cousin. We spent WWII years together living with our grandparents and our mothers and even though miles separated us thru the years we stayed in contact. Cousin Ronnie. The best. I love you and will miss you until we meet again.
