Not sure what to say?

I apologize for learning about and responding so late to Flash´s passing. I am from Gate City, VA and I my dad, Harry Fry had such great respect for Appalachia and Flash´s talent. I got to follow him in playing at Va Tech. Not only was he a great FB player (I have never seen any DB hit opposing players so hard) he was a remarkable person. You should be well pleased of the inspiration he passed on to those of us who followed him as a VA Tech Hokie. Please accept my deepest sympathies in your...

I must send my deepest sympathies to my dear cousin's wife Thora and his two daughters. Cousins, I just found out today he passed away. My heart is broken May God's peace be upon my dear cousins through this journey. LOVE Cousins-The Thomas Family

So sorry to hear of Flash´s passing . He was a great teammate while at Va Tech . RIP my friend .

I was a teammate of Flash @ VT in 1975 Fall ! He was a first class human being with a wonderful smile and demeanor. Until he hit you on the football field , his physicalities were beyond exceptional in football and basketball . I was a first year player at VT his senior season , I was able to spend time with on and off the football field because we were both DBs ! He was a special person and I have thought of him often over the years . His hits on the football field were legendary! He will...

I remember watching Flash play football. He was a flash for sure. Those were the days. Paul Davis, you are one of my fondest memories of AHS. And Walt, I remember your cute shy smile. The best of memories. So sorry for your loss. Hugs and prayers during this difficult time.

A lot of great memories playing basketball for Coach Davis. I remember him fondly and appreciate the discipline and work ethic he instilled in me at such a young age. May he rest in peace.

May the Lord give you peace during your time of bereavement

Graduated from Appalachia High School with Ron. Sat next to him in English class. Always had the utmost respect for him. He was just a great person. I am so glad I got to see him again at our 50th reunion this past October. So sad he is gone, but I´ll see him again someday.... My sympathy to Thora and all his family.
