Read MoreRon was a man you don't soon forget. I worked with Ron while he was the City Manager of Homer during some very interesting times and on challenging matters. He was a very capable manager who had a vision to improve his community and was determined to make it happen. I very much admired those qualities in him.

So very sad to hear that Ron is gone. Sad as well to learn he suffered a long illness; wish I had known and could have seen him.
Ron and I studied for the Bar exam together in '74. Such a good humored guy (good humor is the savior of any Bar Exam regime). I only wish I had taken more opportunities to cross his path.
