Please accept my condolescenses. I worked with Dr. Eby on the financial piece of this grants here at the University of Akron. He was always easy to work with. He'd stop by just to say hello and see what's new. He was a kind and gentle soul. He will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolences go out to your family. As an administrator at a university one gets to deal with many different types of people. Dr. Eby was a true gentleman and one who genuinely possessed a common touch. He was a pleasure to deal with and despite his prominence as a scientist; he was one of the most humble men I have ever met. Dr. Eby was indeed accomplished, not just as a scientist but as a person. One of his greatest accomplishments was making others feel as if their point of view...

I worked with him for many years after he first came to The University of Akron as an Eminent Scholar and afterward when I was Director of Research Services and Sponsored Programs at UA. He was a true gentleman and scholar. From the loving obituary, I can tell that he will be deeply missed. Please accept my sympathies.
