Ronald E. Ewing, of Perkasie and formerly of East Rockhill Twp., PA, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was 84.
He was the husband of Bette J. (Graf) Ewing. The couple had celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary on October 1, 2021.
Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late John and Mary (McDonough)
Ewing.
He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, having proudly served our country from 1954 to 1956 and was stationed in Korea during his enlistment. He continued his service with the U.S. Army Reserves until 1962.
Ron was a self-employed builder, building custom homes in the Pennridge and surrounding areas for over 45 years. Most recently, he acquired and managed numerous rental properties in the area.
Ron loved spending time with family and friends more than anything. He was a member of the Perkasie Lions Club since 1975. An avid golfer, Ron played baseball and later softball in the local church league as well the Bux-Mont League. He loved vacationing in Naples, Florida, and attending local sporting events especially Pennridge High School Football games. A NASCAR enthusiast, he enjoyed attending car shows over the years.
Surviving with his wife are four daughters, Sharon Buss, of Salisbury, MD, Beth Ann Ewing, of Sellersville, PA, Christine McVaugh and her husband Robert, of Green Lane, PA, and Sandy Whitney and her husband Todd, of Bedminster, PA; four grandchildren, Justin Buss and his wife Kristen, Stephanie Petro, Tanner Whitney and Victoria Whitney; and two sisters, Shirley Harazim and Joanne Hillman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffrey Buss, a brother, John “Jack” Ewing, and a sister, Barbara Sowers.
His Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to RE:VIVALS Outreach Center, 4 S. Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA 18944

Our hearts and prayers go out to Bette and the family, we are so saddened by this news. Ron has been so good to us, we truly appreciated the trust and confidence he has had in us. He will be sorely missed. Truly a great man.
