1950 ~ 2016Ronald Edward Guymon, 65, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 14, 2016, at his home in Highland, Utah. Ron was born to Richard Gilbert and Edna Jenalyn Guymon on December 9, 1950, in Hollywood, California. He spent his childhood at his mother's knee, learning to love God and his...

Not sure what to say?

I called Ron just before he died. I was totally unaware of his passing. We created a software product for the 2000 election and tried to sell it to President Bush's campaign. Ron and I flew out to Washington, DC and met with Orrin Hatch, who was amazing helpful in getting us to the right people in the Bush campaign. We spent 2 weeks together and the thing that I remember most about our trip was how much he expressed his love for Kim and his children. He told me how important it was to make...

I knew Ron when we both went through the Language Training Center to learn Spanish before going on our missions 46 years ago. He was selected as our district leader. Even then his leadership skills were recognized.
I'm sorry for your loss.

I just found out that Ron had passed away. I am extremely sad. He was too young to die. I met Ron when they moved into our ward in Cleveland, Ohio, when Cherie was about 7. I babysat for the Guymons until I was married and moved out of state. Kim was my best friend. And Ron my favorite bishop. He was part of the "get Gary married" conspiracy. And hence a part of my family's history. Whenever I visited the house, Ron was often off at work. Last time I was able to see him was about 16 years ago...

I just learned of Ron's passing last night - April 1st. I was attending a missionary reunion sitting next to President and Sister Litster. We were recalling the wonderful missionaries we served with. I mentioned Ron and then President Litster shared his passing with me. Ron was an amazing missionary. I served with him in Trujillo and Lima. Ron and his companion in Trujillo, Elder Tenney, were great examples to the rest of us. President Dorius, Ron and I had lunch together in the Lion House...

Anyone who met him couldn't help being changed for good. I know I am (ever since he visited Ron and his family in the Lilburn Ward in Georgia years ago). Honored to have the chance to know him.

Such a wonderful person -- loving, devoted, husband, father, grandfather, brother (church member), neighbor, and friend. A walking, talking, example of who we all should strive to be. He loved, respected, and cherished your mom in a way few men ever have cared for a woman and it was...

Ron helped in the Strategic Planning of our Company. He was a good friend and will be missed.

I was fortunate to meet Ron a few years ago in a training programa he was directing for the LDS church. I admired his positive approach and his easy big smile. Some of the things he shared during that time have made me make changes in working habbits and service approach. My prayers to his marvelous wife and family.President Ariel ChaparroArgentina Salta Mission

Ron befriended me and mentored me as my supervisor at the College. He went beyond that to provide life advice, especially after his stroke last April. He shared much about how precious life is and the critical importance of placing family first. He encouraged us all to not get out of whack in balancing what truly matters most.

He treasured his family and relished in his association with Kim and his children. I remember with fondness his stories of the large brood around the dinner...

Our love and deepest sympathy to Kim and the children. We were friends and neighbors with the Guymon family when we lived in Solon, Ohio. Ron was also our bishop. He was loving and dedicated to the Lord and his family and truly devoted to the love of his life, Kim. So grateful Scott and I and our children shared so many happy experiences together. He had a great sese of humor and could laugh at himself, too. So very grateful for our friendship.
