Not sure what to say?

I appreciate the gift of hearing more about Ron’s life during the memorial service. What a full life of learning and love! Great service!
I knew Ron at First Unitarian as well as managers at Oregon Health Division. Ron’s compassionate presence to all was a gift in any environment. While Environmental Health was a male oriented part of OHD, Ron treated women with equality and respect.
I will carry memories of Ron and attempt to live up to his example of how to live a good life...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Sherry, I just learned of Ron’s passing... from another Unitarian more in the loop. I’m so sorry to hear this. He should have lived to 100, imparting wisdom to the rest of us.

I'm grateful that I got to spend time with Ron before he passed. We had amazing conversations about life that were funny, insightful and meaningful. Condolences to the family. You guys are rich with memories of a remarkable person.

He was a good, kind and generous person. I got to know him at the Public Health Golf Tournaments. I even won a trophy. He always had a smile on his face and the light of kindness in his eyes .

Ron made everyone's life richer. I knew him through our shared love of golf. He organized a golf tournament for public health workers from all over the state. (He knew golf-playing local health department workers from many counties.) He kept it casual and fun. I will miss him.

I also grew up in Ladd's Addition and lived directly behind the Hall family. I left Portland in the mid sixties so I lost track on the family. I remember Ronnie as a rather shy teenager. From what I am reading here, it sounds as if he had a wonderful, fulfilling life. May he rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear about Ron's passing. I worked with him at the Drinking Water Program and always enjoyed his presence. My thoughts go out to his family and hope they take some solace in knowing that Ron was well liked and respected.

I first met Ron at the Oregon Health Division when he played on the Oregon Health Division's softball team with his wife, Sherry. He was an avid and skilled player who scored lots of runs and encouraged others to have fun.

I enjoyed hearing his stories of growing up in Ladd's Edition (where I lived at the time) and going to St. Philip Neri, which is still my parish. Through his stories, I learned that he was a compassionate man and loved his wife and family so much. His work in Rwanda...
