Else, I was very saddened to learn of the passing of Ron. As one of his first doctoral students in 1969 we established a very special relationship which we maintained over the past five decades. I would see Ron regularly at the Amherst Farmers´ Market where I sell vegetables. My fondest memory is of our discussion of his asking me to stop farming and join his team in psychometrics.
