RONALD C. HARLOW, SR. Crest Hill, Illinois Ronald C. Harlow, Sr., age 75, of Crest Hill, Illinois and formerly of Lake Station and Hobart, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. He was born on January 15, 1934 in Shelby, Indiana, the son of Claude and Iva May Harlow. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Ron retired as an operator engineer for Central Teaming and was with the Operating Engineers Local #150 for over 50 years. Ron was married to Kay Harlow on April 24, 2004 in Naperville, IL. Ron was a member of Griffith Masonic Lodge #735. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all. Ron is survived by his wife, Kay Harlow of Crest Hill, IL; daughter, Doreen Van Gorp of Crown Point; son, Ronald (Temple) Harlow, Jr. of Hammond; stepchildren, Michael (Brandy) Jackson of Schererville, Chris (Alanna) Jackson of Plainfield, IL, and Randy (Kristy) Jackson of Plainfield, IL; grandchildren, Alex Van Gorp, Lauren Van Gorp, J.J. Jackson, Ashley Jackson, Nicole Jackson, Alvina Jackson, Vivian Jackson, Eliana Jackson, Randy Jackson, Jr., Charlie Jackson, and Conner Jackson; and other loving family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene Harlow; and sister, Betty Jane Hendren. A visitation for Ronald Harlow will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Rees Funeral Home Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with a Masonic Memorial service being offered at 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009 at Rees Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Memorials in Ron's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
