Dr. Helms was an absolutely wonderful man and was a huge influence on me and the path that I decided to take in my professional career. As a student of his, I have many fond memories of our time together and he truly will be missed. May God bless his memory and his family always.

I worked with Ron at NC A&T State University and his lively personality was infectious. When he retired there was a void in the department. I send heartfelt condolences and prayers on behalf of the family. Ron touched so many lives and he will be sorely missed. Rest easy sir.
