I never had the privilege of meeting Ron Hendren, but I have the greatest of respect for him. In 2012, my father was diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer, but he hesitated to seek treatment outside of the small town where he lived. Through a mutual friend, he was introduced to Ron. Ron spent several hours on the phone speaking to my father and helping convince him to seek a second opinion and possible treatment in Portland.
