Attica - Ronald “Ron” James Holtkamp, 67, formerly of Attica and had been residing in West Lafayette, passed away in the West Lafayette Assisted Living on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 10:52 p.m.
    Ron was born in Lafayette, Indiana on November 25, 1956.  He was the son of the late Raymond H. Holtkamp and Isabelle (Hancock) Holtkamp Estes and step son of the late Richard “Dick” Estes.  Ron was a life resident of Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1976.  He more recently moved to West Lafayette in 2023.
    Ron worked at the County Market in Attica for over 30 years.  At the time of his retirement he was the Night Shift Manager.
    Ron was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.  He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening.  He especially enjoyed the time spent with his daughter, Rae.
    Ron was formerly married to Cookie Stonger Rosa.
    He leaves behind his daughter, Rae E. (Chad) Burge Holtkamp, Delphi, IN; his pet dog, Colby, which he immensely loved; his twin brother, Rick (Jackie) Holtkamp, Attica; a half-brother, Larry (Karen) Halversen, Tampa, FL; a sister, Debbie (Corey) Rooks, Virginia; his two nephews, Mike (Bonnie) Holtkamp, Cayuga, IN and Kyle (Wendy) Holtkamp, Attica; his niece, Jessica (Thomas) Hambrock, Tennessee.  A special place in his heart for several great nieces and great nephews; many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that loved him very much. 
    Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, May 18th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ryan Forgey officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Attica.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Delphi First Assembly of God Church, 9835 U.S. 421, Delphi, IN 46923.
