Smith, Bizzell & Warner Funeral Home Obituary

Ronald Jordon was born on February 8, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to Noah Folks and Catherine Jordan.  One of eight (8) children, Ron was very smart – graduating as an Honor Student from River Rouge High School (River Rouge, Michigan), Class of 1973.  After graduating high school, Ron took a placement test for entry to the Lawrence Tech Engineering School, where he scored the highest of any student in the entire school.   However, Ron chose to work at Great Lakes Steel – where he worked until retirement.

Ron had many talents:  He was a talented base player and guitarist; in the 80’s he was the manager for a dance group and there was not a car with a problem that Ron couldn’t fix.

On February 5, 1992, Ron married his Loving Wife Phyllis.  At the time of his death, he and Phyllis had been married for 28 Years.   To this union, two (2) sons were born:  Jeron & Markel Jordan.

Ron was Baptized in the Name of Jesus by his brother Pastor Lester (Bernard) Jordan.  Ron’s sister Maria wanted to make sure Ron understood what it meant to totally give his life to the Lord.  Ron asked God to forgive him of all of his sins, wash him and make him whole again.

Ron was proceeded in death by his parents Noah Folks and Catherine Jordan, sister Regina Jordan and brother Andrew Jordan.

Ron leaves to cherish his memory ~ Loving Wife Phyllis, daughters Akeela Noel and Schimika Jordon; sons Terrance Jordan, Reginald Jordan, Ronald Head, Edmond Butler, Jamelle Jennings, Jeron Jordan and Markel Jordan; brothers Alfred Jordan, Pastor Lester Bernard Jordan, Noel Jordan and Jerry Spears; sister Maria Peoples; Loving In-Laws Wille Hurson, Florida Irby-Hurson and Belvia Tucker; grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and Special Friends – Rayfield, Rick, Jeff and Antquan.
