Alex L.

2025 Zachary Smith, Marshall fire protection district. Marshall, Illinois. I was in fourth grade when you passed away. I just completed the 110 flight memorial stair climb wearing your badge. It was an honor, sir. Thank you for your sacrifice.

I can’t believe it’s 20 years since you are gone. It breaks my heart to think of all you missed but you always manage to let us know you are here. You are our family’s hero and we know you paid the ultimate sacrifice while saving many others. I now get to tell my children about what a wonderful guy you were. We miss you so much. Forever in Our Hearts Always. Love you.

I never knew Ronald but I did work with brother Danny if Danny is anything like his brother then Ronald was a wonderful person. I still remember Danny missing and everyone telling me he's looking for his brother. Ronald we bring missing after the 9/11 tragedy and Danny spent many days looking for his brother. I never saw Danny again never spoke to him about his search but I know he was there looking. I don't know if he even found him. His partner was either wonderful man Noel. I've lost...

Saw Lt. Ronald T. Kerwin and his squad on an old documentary 102 minutes that changed America. Still to this day my heart is heavy for all those poor innocent people lost. Rest in peace...

Please watch 102 minutes that changed America, Ron and his Hazmat squad are heading in at about minute 52. God bless the Kerwin family.

It's been 15 years but we all will never forget! I always remember you Ron and your family at the Abbey Lane School events! RIP forever. You are forever in Levittowners hearts. So sorry that this happened to you! I pray you rest easy always. God Bless you and your family.

Watched a documentary and his face, only his face from all who died that day, has been forever engraved in my mind. Every year I say a special prayer for his family and friends. It's amazing that a person I have never met, who lived several states away, is forever in my memory just by the look he had in his eyes. Just know that every year, you all are on my mind.

Paying our respects. Thank you.
