Not sure what to say?

I was fortunate enough to work with Ron while he was with the City of Portland. His professionalism, enthusiasm, and ability to get things accomplished created a legacy to be proud of. Without him, our Justice Center, Convention Center, Lloyd District street improvements and the Steel Bridge walkway would not exist and the citizens of Portland would have been the poorer for it. Working for him on the Steel Bridge walkway project, I treasured his mentorship. I learned so much from him,...

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Eva.

I so appreciated working with Ron at the City - Ron got things done, he lead, shared his knowledge and his sense of humor. He took the time to teach lunch hour classes to us project manager wannabes and always encouraged us. Our thanks were always too small for his generosity.

When I first came to work for the City of Portland in 1994, my cube was right next to Ron's, which meant I was privileged to hear his end of MANY telephone conversations! Then, as a brand new project manager I benefited daily from the "College of Kleinschmit" and exposure to Ron's unique skills in the art of the deal. Now, if I close my eyes, I can still hear him -- a fearless presence and buoyant will. It was my good fortune to have known him and learned so much from him. My heartfelt...

Please accept my profound condolences on your loss. I knew Ron through his work with the City of Portland. He was always working for the public benefit.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, Eva. Ron was a quality person with much integrity. I enjoyed the small amount of time I was able to work with him. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to Eva, RJ and other members of Ron's family. I worked with Ron at the City of Portland and he was just a great guy and a good friend. He will be missed.

I knew Ron about 45 years ago when he and his family lived across the street from me on Court Street. I was 15 or 16 and had a crush on him. Over the years we had gone our own ways and had lost touch. I know what a special person he was and how lucky your family must have been to have him as your husband and father all those years.

I know he will be greatly missed by your family and friends.

My deepest sympathy to Ron's family. I knew Ron through his work in Portland's Lloyd District -- he was a top notch professional -- and I greatly admired him. I was lucky to work with him and count him as my friend. He accomplished great things, and maintained strong friendship. The world will miss him.
