Not sure what to say?

It's a couple of days after Christmas, 2010, and my son, a Captain in the US Army in Iraq (and one of Ron's many Eagle Scouts), just sent me the devastating news.

Although Ron and I hadn't stayed in touch in recent years (the last time was a lunch Ron and I enjoyed when he was just starting out in his new financial planning career), the sense of loss at his passing is no less acute.

Ron and I were frequent partners in crime on many a scout outing. I remember fondly...

I met Ron 4 years ago at tax time. He was a true advocate for us seniors as well as a kind man with a good spirit. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Ron was a dedicated Scoutmaster for many years and contributed to the success of so many young men in Scouting in the Laguna Niguel area, our three sons included. He was a very giving person, who loved to have fun. The entire Troop will always remember your dutch oven cobbler.

To the Kroeze Family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Ron since he worked at Pac Bell, and have worked with him over the past several yrs. I will miss him.

Ron unselfishly donated hundreds of hours to the AARP TaxAide program, serving as a Counselor, Instructor, and Technical Specialist for the CA5 State Management Team.

No one in this organization was held in higher esteem than Ron Kroeze.

Dad #2. He always made me feel like daughter #2. Shawna and I went everywhere together. I will never forget the weekend trips to the cabin. He always made sure we had a good time. I'm sure we drove him nuts a few times, but that's what daughters are for! :) He was always very thoughtful. He will be missed very much. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

OUR CONDOLENCES TO YOUR FAMILY. YOU'LL BE MISSED BY THEM ALL AND YOUR FRIENDS. GOD BLESS YOU.

I know he fought really hard to keep on going. I am so sorry to know he lost that fight. I love you Kroeze Family. Bless you all.

our sincere condolences!!
