Ronald L. Matinchek

Dear Arda and family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of a great friend and mentor. Ron was an inspration to me not only as a coach, but a father too. Ron always wanted me to move to the boys basketball program, but I stayed with the girls and met Kim. I know Ron is in heaven with my sister, Barb, enjoying the Lord. Seven Sorrows will not be the same without him. I pray all the young coaches use Ron as their model as I did. God Bless to you all from Atlanta. Coach Tom

I knew Ron from the time I was a small child and we were neighbors. I learned of his passing while on vacation and apologize for not making it to his funeral service. He was a special man who will be missed by many. I will keep your family in my prayers and if you need anything, let me know.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Matinchek...he was an incredible human being...such a nice person. My thoughts are with the family.

Glenn and I were both saddened by the news of Ron's passing. I knew your family since I was a very young girl and held nothing but the highest respect for Ron. He did so much for Middletown/Seven Sorrows and will never be forgotten. I'm glad he is at peace now and probably having a cold one with Jimmy Noon right about now.
