Not sure what to say?

My grandfather, my pappy was a great man. He was a man that liked to have fun. I knew if he was around there was fun to be had. Never a dull moment with my grandpa. He loved his family, his children were what he lived for and were always on his mind as he rode the waves of the ocean, to the waves of life. He had a strong heart to carry him thur. He always held his head high and managed the waves, and would then sail back home to his family. We all had high spirits when he would return. He...

We loved Ron for over 65 years, sailed with him on the river and the oceans. Fair winds and following seas love First Light Larry andCarolyn Alt

Ronnie & Sharon raised me as one of their own from the minute I came into the family, they had too, I was at their house most of the time!! He was so hard working and worked our tails of too but we never minded since we were doing it together. I thought he was the baddest guy around because he skied barefoot, long before it was cool. He did it, much like all things he did, because he could. He will be missed by anyone's life that he touched. RIP Ronny, say Hi to them all for me!!

We will all miss you captain Ron

So sorry for your loss. He was my dad's right hand man. What one didn't think of the other one did. Many great times spent on the river with your family and ours. Our dad's sure seen to it that not only did they have a great time on the river, but us kids did also. Your dad will be greatly missed. Love to your whole family.

He was a friend and if there was such a thing as a modern day pirate, that was Ronnie.

There are no words to express the loss of a loved one, Isaiah 59:1 "Look, The hand of God is not too short to save, nor is his ear too dull to hear."

Kim maybe the Lord be with you during this sad time my prayers are with you and your family.

Ronnie was one of my dad's best friends. I was real little when Ronnie and my dad, Elmer Cannon, would run up and down the Ohio river in their cruisers. I remember a lot of beers being tossed from boat to boat, singing and dancing. Now they are together again. Love to the entire Metcalf family.
