Ronald Robert Moyer, 78, of Wind Gap, PA passed away Saturday, December 11th, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus, Easton, PA.


Ronald was born in Bushkill Twp., PA on March 12, 1943, a son of Kathryn Marie (Dilcherd) Moyer, of Bethlehem, PA, and the late Newton J. Moyer.


He was the husband of Jennie J. (Knitter) Moyer. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this past October.  Ronald was a 1961 graduate of Slatington High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam War. Ronald was employed as a mechanic at Air Products Easton, PA, until retiring in 2006. He enjoyed racing and collecting automotive memorabilia.


Ronald was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pen Argyl, PA. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union in Reading, PA.


In addition to his mother Kathryn and wife Jennie, Ronald is survived by two daughters, Kathi Neff, wife of Brian, of Slatington, PA; Stephanie Mackowski, wife of Jack Mackowski, of Yorktown, VA; a sister, Gale Seiler, 2 granddaughters Lauren Maguire and Emily Mackowski, and 1 great-granddaughter Jaslynne Maguire.  He was preceded in death by a son Ronald N. Moyer.


Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, December 17th at James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 200 s. Robinson Ave., Pen Argyl, PA with Rev. Chris Druckenmiller officiating. Family and friends are invited to visitation from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, December 16th at the funeral home.  Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth, PA.  Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com

We are so sad to hear about Ron´s passing. Always enjoyed our weekend with him at the World of Outlaws show at Williams Grove. Sitting by the fire hearing him laugh at our stupid conversations. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
