Not sure what to say?

On Ron's birthday, I wish for his family a flood of fond memories of a great guy, and the Lord's comfort. Tom Marabello, locomotive engineer retired.

I did not make it to Ron's life celebration. I could have said many words about how he put up with me hounding him every 2 weeks like clockwork until he hired me, how he gave me a heart attack when I went to Reno for a few days, and he told me that he had to hire someone else because I was gone, then laugh and tell me to report for a physical the next Monday. He was truly a great guy, fair in his dealings with us "crew guys", and a genuine asset to B.N., and my career on the railroad. As I...

My name is Heidi Campbell and my husband Rick and I had the pleasure of being friends with Mary and Ron for about 20 years. We had just bought a house down the street from them in Florida and the palm trees were dying in our front yard. We thought we wanted to replace them and as we drove out of the plan we spotted Mary and Ron the very first time. They had just had a new Royal Palm planted on their Front lawn. We introduced ourselves and that was the start of a long wonderful friendship....

Dear Mary, Ron was such a special person; always willing to help and come up with creative ways to fix everything. We so enjoyed his birthday celebration last Spring, our evenings out on the driveway, and neighborhood gatherings. Sending you hugs and precious memories....Love Jane & Richard

Mary, you and Ron were there when I was having a rough time. You were my pillars. I won´t forget his chuckle and positive attitude. May he rest in peace, Judy

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

You were not just Jamie's dad; you were a beacon of hard work, family dedication, and unwavering commitment. From serving in the army to nurturing your family, your legacy is one of mentorship and love. We stand tall, forever molded by your steadfast guidance. Sorry for that watered-down Southern Comfort and the car adventure; turns out, super glue can't fix all our mistakes. Thank you for unwavering support played a pivotal role as we grew into nurses. Even though our paths didn't cross...

I have the greatest respect for Ron. He hired me when he was crew manager at Parkwater, Wa., and launched my career as a journeyman carman and then locomotive engineer. Can't say enough about him, so I'll say rest in peace, Ron, and thank you so much. Tom Marabello, locomotive engineer retired.

Ron hired myself and my ex-husband for the Burlington northern Santa Fe in 1977 and 1978 respectively. He taught me a lot about working on the railroad in the crew office in Park water. Good experience and memories. May you rest in peace. Marilyn (Maryott) Lewis
